Eriksen driver kontoret Fragment. Han er i tillegg involvert i en rekke foreninger og initiativer, som arbeider med spørsmål knyttet til bolig og produksjon i byen, hvor Kunstnerboligforeningen og Leieboerforeningen er de to mest sentrale.
Han bidrar også i en rekke kunstprosjekter som omhandler stedsutvikling, som «Selvbyggeren» på Økern og "Metoder for Nordøyane" på øyen Flemsøy utenfor Ålesund, og bidro med «Hva vi lagde ved sjøen», en samtale om hva som skjer når byenes havnefront utvikles til boligområder, til Bergen Kunsthall sin gruppeutstilling «The Ocean» utstilling i 2021. Han er ansett å være en av de mest sentrale fagpersonene på sosial boligutvikling i Norge.

Arild Eriksen is an architect and has for a number of years been involved in issues related to housing and production in the city. At the conference, he invites conversations about spaces for practice and cities with diversity.
Eriksen runs the office Fragment in Oslo. He is also involved in a number of associations and initiatives, which deal with issues related to housing and production in the city, of which the Artists' Housing Association and the Tenants' Association are the two most central. He also contributes to a number of art projects that deal with place development, such as "Selvbyggeren" on Økern and "Methods for the Nordøyane" on the island of Flemsøy outside Ålesund, and contributed with "What we made by the sea", a conversation about what happens when cities' harbor fronts are developed to residential areas, to Bergen Kunsthall's group exhibition "The Ocean" exhibition in 2021. Eriksen is considered to be one of the most central experts on social housing development in Norway.
